This jacket is made from a genuine Harris Tweed woven on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Artisanal in the extreme, the fabric is woven on a rare single width loom which is pedal-driven and has a very different feel to any machine-woven fabric.
Up close, the fabric has a very graphic look, with reds and yellows amongst the overall green and brown tones. For this jacket it’s matched with brass engineered buttons and Blake’s signature red under-collar.
Tweed traditionally has exceptional drape but is also very warm. This tweed has been woven in a lighter weight that retains the drape characteristic of the fabric but when combined with our NASA lining is much easier to wear.
