First day working with Savile Row. This is the pattern for first jacket prototype, marked out on grey cloth. There’s no point in using anything expensive at this stage - you’re just making a sketch in fabric. You can see the armhole and breast pocket detail.
Those shears are over 100 years old. All the tailors do this thing where they wipe their shears on the back of their head to ‘oil the blades’. I’ve no idea whether it’s for real or not but it looks cool.
