Material Boy

An essential part of the Blake philosophy is using the best materials. In a jacket, the most obvious manifestation of that is the fabric the jacket is made from.

I made my mind up quite early in the process that I wanted to have at least one fabric specially woven and that probably meant a tweed.

These are the yarns for the first custom fabric - a lightweight West Country tweed which is going to be woven at Fox Brothers in Wellington. Fox has been a fabric mill since 1771. Quite a lot of nations haven’t been going that long.
