Blake was founded by Darius Pocha in 2012 to make clothes for creatively-inclined men. The first collection is a contemporary range of structured blazers, developed on Savile Row, artisinally made in East London using the highest quality British fabrics and incorporating NASA technology to increase their wearability.
Darius had worked with fashion brands like Nicole Farhi, Chanel, Commes Des Garcons and LVMH on creative campaigns but had no training in menswear design. Suddenly obsessed with the idea of making the perfect mens blazer, Darius bought "a mountain" of vintage jackets from charity shops and ripped them apart so he could sketch the parts, "like learning anatomy".
Blake took just 350 days to go from idea to showing its first collection at Best of Britannia in Clerkenwell. Darius worked with a Savile Row master cutter to prototype the jackets before collaborating with specialist manufacturers to perfect them for production. Blake now has a growing audience of creative practitioners and entrepreneurs who appreciate the mix of traditional craft married to edgy details and technical innovation.
For men who are interested in design and who are comfortable mixing high and low in their wardrobe, Blake provides the high.
